Net Metering System
Net metering is a billing mechanism that credits renewable energy owners for the electricity they inject on the distribution grid, one example is the installation of photo-voltaic panels on rooftops or available areas; the system supplies the customer with the necessary energy demand while the extra energy produced will be injected into the distribution grid.
A special energy meter is installed for this purpose where the balance of energy supplied to the customer from the grid and from the renewable energy source is registered and billed.
